Portraits

The second in my series of online exhibitions. Each exhibition will feature original artworks and be grouped by theme.

Lockdown 2020 meant I had to put my weekly portrait group on hold. However, it also provided me with lots of time to sort through my piles of studies, photos, and clippings. Portraits are a constant subject in my work, so pictures of people are an important source material. Without “real-life” access to a model, the sort-out helped remind me of sitters I’d not seen for a while and portraits I’d not realised or finished. Therefore, this exhibition is a collection of old favourites and new pieces I conjured up to distract myself from Covid.
