WAZHEAD

Chris started making novelty hats under the name WAZHEAD shortly after graduating from Canterbury College of Art in 1982. They were a hit with many a famous head, including Vivienne Westwood (pictured in press cutting two below). The 1980s is known as a period of extreme fashions. This might explain the popularity of Chris’s Hammer Head design, which was selected by Observer London in it’s round up of iconic objects from the decade (pictured in first press cutting below). Despite the success of WAZHEAD, Chris halted his hat-making to focus on his musical career with Stump.
